Şile Belediyesi tarafından düzenlenen bu yıl sekizincisi yapılan Şile Yağlı Güreşleri müsabakalarında 33’ü başpehlivan, 34 başaltı pehlivanı, 22 büyük orta, 9 küçük orta büyük ve 21 küçük orta küçük pehlivan olmak üzere 119 pehlivan mücadele etti.

Ahmet Kavakçı, Fatih Atlı, İsmail Balaban, Recep Kara, Serhat Balcı ve Orhan Okulu gibi ünlü başpehlivanların yer aldığı Şile Yağlı Güreşleri’nde büyük çekişme yaşandı. Finalde Recep Kara’yı mağlup etmeyi başaran Orhan Okulu, başpehlivanlığın sahibi oldu. Bu yılki Kırkpınar Yağlı Güreşleri’nin başpehlivanı Fatih Atlı ise yarı finalde Orhan Okulu’ya yenilmekten kurtulamadı.

Orhan Okulu, ünlü başpehlivanlar Fatih Atlı’dan Edirne’nin rövanşını aldığını ve Recep Kara gibi ünlü bir pehlivanı devirmenin mutluluğu içinde olduğunu belirtti.

Şile Belediye Başkanı Can Tabakoğlu ise Şile’de 8 yıldır gerçekleştirilen ata sporu yağlı güreşleri yaşatmak ve yarınlara taşımak için mücadele ettiklerini kaydetti.
